About Whitney Kaufman

Hi!

I'm Whitney Kaufman, owner of Whitney Kaufman Designs. My business was born out of my passion for two things: creating beautiful things with a needle and thread and making a house feel like a home!

As a teacher turned stay-at-home-mom, I began sewing shortly after my oldest daughter was born. Originally my passion for sewing was used to create Halloween costumes for my kids. Eventually as my kids got older I began channeling my love of sewing toward creating custom window treatments for our home.

For me, making a home is about the meeting of function and beauty to create a space where my family enjoys being together. Window treatments and soft furnishings speak to that. They are both functional and beautiful, and they truly make a space feel comfortable and complete.

I take great pride in providing top-quality luxury products that make your home beautiful and one of a kind. I have taken many courses through Workroom Tech (Custom Workroom Technical Center) in order to learn new fabrication techniques, stay current on industry standards, and hone my skills.  Additionally, I am a member of WCAA (Window Covering Association of America).
